This fudge was a hit and the biggest reason for it's success was in not telling one single soul about the cheese:) I made the fugde yesterday but the recipe I found on Cooks.com was a bit different. I halved their recipe but it still took a whole two pound package of powdered sugar.
I used:
1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
2 lbs. Powdered sugar
1/2 c. Cocoa (took your hint and made that a generous 1/2 c. of cocoa.)
1 tbsp. Vanilla (I did not halve the Vanilla)
1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
1/2 c. chopped nuts

It was easy to stir and melt the cheese and butter on low setting and then remove from stove and add the sugar and cocoa adding vanilla and nuts last. Spread in buttered pans, cool, cut into squares and store in tightly covered tin or container.

Thank you so much for this great idea. I have never made fudge and now I have a hit with a totally secret recipe that my family can only envy:)Granny Anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18165058412950953296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8203651916920018412.post-6395963503320512082008-12-18T13:34:00.000-05:002008-12-18T13:34:00.000-05:00There are those whose motto is "If it ain't cheese...There are those whose motto is "If it ain't cheese whiz, I won't eat it."
